Derrick Doss Bio

Derrick Doss graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication (Radio & Television)

Derrick began his career in 1978 in radio at KVOV radio, 1280 AM THE Kool Voice OF Vegas, Las Vegas, NV. appearing on the Las Vegas strip at he time were Gladys Knight & the Pips, Sammie Davis Jr. , and World Champion Joe Louis.

Derrick transitioned from radio broadcast sales to television upon accepting an offer from KVBC-television NBC affiliate as an Account Executive selling broadcast television, writing, creating and implementing successful television commercial campaigns. In 1989, Derrick transitioned to a larger television market and accepted an offer for KTSP-CBS affiliate TV-10 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Derrick transitioned form television in 1993. Derrick missing the radio business, returned to his passion for radio! In 2007 , Derrick created the Voice f Gospel music show on KXXT 1010am radio.
